The Nashville Sounds and First Horizon Park are excited to host the first of four exhibition games the University of Tennessee will play at minor league venues this fall. The Vols will open their fall baseball schedule against the Troy Trojans at First Horizon Park on Sunday, October 11.
UT is coming off their seventh straight NCAA tournament appearance and will face Troy, who made their way to Omaha for the Men’s College World Series for the first time in program history last season. The Trojans ended the season ranked no. 6 in the Final Top 25 of the season. The Vols enter year two of the Elander era returning 13 players from last season’s regional squad and 24 newcomers, which consists of the nation’s top ranked transfer portal class and the no. 3-ranked high school recruiting class. This is the fourth straight year that Tennessee has been scheduled to play part of their fall schedule in Nashville.
Gates will open at 3:00 pm with first pitch scheduled for 4:00 pm, and tickets starting at $25.
